Job summary

Circle Health Group is seeking a Bank Housekeeper for St Edmunds Hospital in Bury St Edmunds to maintain cleanliness across patient, public and staff areas. This bank role is on an as-needed basis to cover busy periods and staff leave.

You will support daily cleaning duties, linen replenishment, and cross-department coverage, including theatre zones, with training and career development opportunities within Hotel Services.

Qualifications

• Competency in literacy and numeracy.
• GCSE Maths and English at A-C or equivalent.
• Proficiency with a PC and hospital software systems.

Responsibilities

• Undertake day-to-day cleaning of patient, public and staff areas.
• Maintain a safe, pleasant environment for patients, visitors and staff.
• Replenish linen and consumables as required.
• Be flexible to work in all departments (including Theatre areas) and other sites.
• Complete daily task sheets and submit for auditing.

Housekeeper (Bank) St Edmunds Hospital Bank Shifts Salary: Up to £12.79 per hour (depending on level of experience, training and qualification.)

St Edmunds Hospital in Bury St Edmunds is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.

We have an opportunity for a Housekeeper to join their team of staff in the Hotel Services department. This is a bank role working on an "as and when required" basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.

Duties of this role include:

• Undertake in the day-to-day cleaning of patient, public and employee areas.
• Maintain a safe and pleasant environment for patients, visitors and Circle Health Group employees.
• Replenish linen and consumables.
• Provide flexibility to work in all departments (inc Theatre areas) and at other Circle Health Group sites where appropriate and as requested.
• Complete daily task sheets and submit to the Housekeeper Lead on a daily basis for auditing purposes.
• Comply with all relevant mandatory training.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Competency in literacy and numeracy
• Good Communication skills
• Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
• Proficiency in the use of a PC, including the use of software and systems.
