Job summary

Abbeyfield Living Society is seeking a Housekeeper and Cook for The Old Vicarage in Blundellsands, Liverpool. You will cook wholesome meals for residents and provide friendly daily support, with a strong focus on wellbeing and comfort.

The role is part-time with a 10-hour rota and a weekly pattern including days on Thursday, and Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays, from 9am to 2pm. Eligibility to work in the UK and basic DBS are required.

Qualifications

• Experience cooking for residents in a care setting.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask.
• Excellent customer service with older people.
• Basic computer skills; Outlook and Excel training provided.

Responsibilities

• Cook wholesome home-cooked meals for residents.
• Support resident wellbeing and be a friendly point of contact.
• Assist with general duties and budget management with training provided.

Week 1 Thursday Week 2 Wednesday Saturday Sunday 9am to 2pm

What We’re Looking For as a Housekeeper and Cook:

• Confidence in cooking for up to 9 people plus
• Strong organizational skills, ready to handle a variety of tasks
• Excellent customer service skills with a genuine understanding of the needs of older people
• Basic computer skills (Outlook and Excel experience is a plus, but full training will be provided)

About The Role Of Housekeeper And Cook
