Job summary

The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a flexible, reliable administrator to join the hospital support team in the West Midlands. The role requires good literacy and numeracy, strong computer skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.

You will assist in transferring patients and equipment, manage light stock deliveries, and respond to changing service needs. Experience in NHS environments is desirable; training will be provided.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in service industry
  • Computer skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively - face to face /telephone, non verbal and written communication skills
  • Awareness of the need to respond flexibly to the changing needs of the service
  • Able to handle light loads e.g. stock deliveries.
  • Assist in the transfer of patients and equipment.

Desirable criteria
  • To have a basic knowledge of a hospital environment and infection control
  • Experience in NHS work
  • Knowledge of Oracle ordering system
