The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a Quality and Safety Facilitator to join its Corporate Nursing team. The role will coordinate quality improvement across the Trust, engaging multi-disciplinary teams and learning from patient experience, incidents and complaints to drive safer care.
The post holder will work at The Princess Royal Hospital (Telford) and The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital; hours depend on initiatives and may require out of hours.
We are looking to appoint a Quality and Safety Facilitator to join our Corporate Nursing team who will facilitate and co-ordinate a portfolio of quality improvement work across the Trust to support a range of initiatives.
The successful applicant will be NMC registered with proven experience in implementing quality improvement initiatives and of engaging with the multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement mutually driven schemes. This includes learning from patient experience, adverse incidents and complaints. The post holder will also be required to provide verbal and written reports as required.
The requirement of the job role is to work at The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford and The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. The pattern of hours will be dependent on specific initiatives; this may require working out of hours.
The post holder will be required to support the implementation of the nursing aspects of the Trust Improvement Plan in all the clinical areas, this includes but is not limited to improvement initiatives linked to falls, pressure ulcers, deterioration, MCA/DoLs, risk assessments and documentation. The post holder is also expected to contribute to the ward/clinical area exemplar review programme and provide advice and support to Ward/Department teams about quality & safety issues. Another key aspect of the role is contributing to clinical incidents that may occur, reviewing and implementing initial actions following these incidents in the clinical areas.
