Trecarrel Care Home in Tywardreath, Cornwall is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain a spotless, hygienic home and support residents with a warm, person-centred approach.

The role focuses on cleaning and laundry duties while delivering a welcoming atmosphere. Weekend and bank holiday enhancements apply, with a 10am–6pm schedule and full-time hours.

Responsibilities

• Dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures.
• Cleaning and sanitising bathrooms, sinks, and countertops.
• Making beds and changing linens.
• Using cleaning tools effectively (vacuum, mop, cloths).
• Keeping bathrooms stocked with toiletries and towels.
• Cleaning mirrors, glass surfaces and communal areas.
• Tidying and refreshing residents' rooms.
• Monitoring and ordering cleaning supplies as required.
• Reporting repairs or maintenance issues promptly.
• Assisting in laundry duties and ensuring cleanliness throughout the home.
• Interacting positively with residents and contributing to their sense of home.

Job Purpose
