This part-time role offers 18-24 hours per week with shifts from 8am-2pm or 9am-3pm, in a beautiful golf course location that supports a calm, comfortable environment for residents and staff.

You will maintain high cleanliness standards across bedrooms, communal areas and bathrooms, ensuring a welcoming and safe home for residents and visitors alike.

About the Role

We are recruiting a dedicated Housekeeper to join a welcoming 30-bed residential care home in the beautiful Churston area of Brixham.

The home is situated in beautiful surroundings on a golf course, providing a peaceful and attractive environment for residents and staff.

As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in ensuring the home is kept clean, comfortable and welcoming for residents, visitors and staff.

Working between 18 and 24 hours per week, with shifts available from 8am-2pm or 9am-3pm, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the home, including residents' bedrooms, communal areas, bathrooms and other shared spaces.

You will become an important part of a dedicated team, helping to create a clean, comfortable and homely environment for residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the home
  Clean residents' bedrooms and communal areas
  Clean bathrooms, corridors, lounges and other areas of the home
  Ensure cleaning standards are maintained at all times
  Follow appropriate cleaning and hygiene procedures
  Replenish cleaning and household supplies when required
  Dispose of waste appropriately
  Help maintain a clean, comfortable and welcoming environment
  Report any maintenance issues, damage or concerns to the appropriate team member
  Work collaboratively with colleagues and the wider care team
  Treat residents, visitors and colleagues with courtesy and respect

Candidate Requirements

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is preferred but not essential
  A reliable, hardworking and committed approach to work
  Good attention to detail
  Good communication and interpersonal skills
  Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  Ability to work independently when required
  A friendly, caring and respectful nature
  A genuine desire to help maintain a comfortable and welcoming environment for residents
