Nurse Seekers in Dawlish, South Devon, is seeking an experienced Housekeeper for a luxury residential care home.

You will maintain a clean, welcoming environment for up to 36 residents, with shifts 9:00am–3:00pm. This 18-hour-per-week role pays £12.75 per hour plus paid breaks and offers a warm, homely atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping, cleaning or domestic experience desirable
• Experience in a care home, hotel or similar environment advantageous

Responsibilities

• Clean residents' bedrooms and communal areas to a high standard
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the home
• Clean bathrooms, corridors, lounges, dining areas and other shared spaces
• Change bedding and maintain residents' rooms as required
• Ensure cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and appropriately
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures
• Report maintenance issues or concerns to the appropriate staff
• Work respectfully around residents and protect their comfort and routine
• Support a warm, welcoming and homely environment
• Collaborate with the care and housekeeping teams to maintain high cleanliness standards

The Role

As a Housekeeper, you will play an important role in maintaining a clean, comfortable and welcoming environment for residents, visitors and staff.

You will work as part of the wider team to ensure the home is maintained to a high standard, helping to create a pleasant and homely environment for residents to enjoy.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Cleaning residents' bedrooms and communal areas to a high standard
• Maintaining cleanliness throughout the home
• Cleaning bathrooms, corridors, lounges, dining areas and other shared spaces
• Changing bedding and maintaining residents' rooms as required
• Ensuring cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and appropriately
• Following appropriate infection prevention and control procedures
• Reporting any maintenance issues or concerns to the appropriate member of staff
• Working respectfully around residents and taking care not to disturb their comfort and routine
• Supporting a warm, welcoming and homely environment
• Working closely with the care and wider housekeeping team
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation at all times
