Job summary

Wentworth Club Limited seeks an experienced housekeeper to uphold the Club's 5* standards across the Clubhouse, Tennis and Health facilities, and guest bedrooms.

Reporting to the Head Housekeeper, you will work across all areas with strong attention to detail, initiative, and the ability to converse politely with members. Full-time roles are 40 hours per week, with shifts 6:00–22:30; part-time applications are welcome.

Qualifications

• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Experience in hospitality housekeeping is advantageous.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and presentation throughout the Clubhouse and facilities.
• Service guest bedrooms as part of the housekeeping team.
• Work across all areas ensuring 5* standards are met and reported to Head Housekeeper.

Job description

Wentworth Club is one of the world’s finest private members Golf and Country Clubs, famous for its outstanding three Championship golf courses, in addition to a luxury Tennis & Health Club. The Club is surrounded and entwined within the Wentworth Estate, one of the most prestigious private estates in the London suburbs where many of the world’s premier golfers have their home.

Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout our Clubhouse and Tennis and Health Facilities is taken care of by our team of dedicated Housekeepers. Reporting to the Head Housekeeper, the job holder will be working across all areas ensuring both Member and staff areas are kept clean, sanitised and up to the Club’s 5* standards at all times. This will also include servicing of the Club’s guest bedrooms.

The full-time positions are based on a 40-hour week, Monday to Sunday and will cover shifts between 6am and 10.30pm. We will also consider applications for part-time positions.

The successful candidate will have the following personal attributes:

• Initiative, pro-active and the ability to prioritise unscheduled work when required.
• Have an attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Fluent spoken and written English and be able to converse politely with members, when required.
• Well-groomed and of smart appearance.
• Good level of fitness to meet the physical demands of the role.

Previous experience of housekeeping in hospitality would be advantageous, but applications will be also considered from candidates who have the afore mentioned personal attributes and who are willing to learn and can show initiative.
