Job summary

Cygnet Victoria House is seeking an enthusiastic Housekeeper to help maintain a clean, safe environment for residents at a 26-bed mental health inpatient service. The role is 36 hours per week at Victoria House, with an hourly rate of £13.15.

You will follow daily/weekly cleaning regimes, manage stock and keep equipment well maintained, while complying with COSHH and safety guidelines. DBS checks are required for successful candidates.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning, housekeeping or domestic work is desirable.
• Knowledge of COSHH is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high level of cleanliness at the site.
• Carry out daily and weekly cleaning regimes.
• Maintain and replenish stock; ensure equipment is clean and well maintained.
• Follow safe working practices and health and safety procedures.

You'll be working 36 hours a week at Victoria House, helping maintain a safe and healthy environment for the people in our care.

Cygnet Victoria House is a 26 bed mental health inpatient service for men. The service, split across two wards, provides a safe and stabilising environment for men who are experiencing an acute episode of mental illness and require an emergency admission.

Your day-to-day

• Ensure the site maintains a high level of cleanliness
• Carry out daily & weekly cleaning regimes
• Maintain & replenish stock and ensure that equipment is clean & well maintained
• Employ safe working practices & adhere to health & safety procedures
• Comply with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations
