Job summary

Circle Health Group Thornbury Hospital in Sheffield is seeking a Housekeeper to join our Hotel Services team on a part-time basis. The role involves daily cleaning of patient, public and staff areas, while ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for patients and colleagues.

You will replenish linen and consumables, maintain hygiene standards across departments (including theatre areas) and work flexible shifts across Circle Health Group sites as required.

Qualifications

• Literacy and numeracy skills at a basic to intermediate level.
• Good communication skills with patients and colleagues.
• GCSE Maths and English at A–C or equivalent required.
• Ability to use a PC and basic software systems.

Housekeeper Thornbury Hospital 37.5 Hours & Permanent Salary: £24,947.00 FTE per year

Thornbury Hospital in Sheffield is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.

We have an opportunity for a Housekeeper to join their team of staff in the Hotel Services department. This is a part- time role for 32.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include:

• Undertake in the day-to-day cleaning of patient, public and employee areas.


• Maintain a safe and pleasant environment for patients, visitors and Circle Health Group employees.


• Replenish linen and consumables.


• Provide flexibility to work in all departments (inc Theatre areas) and at other Circle Health Group sites where appropriate and as requested


• Complete daily task sheets and submit to the Housekeeper Lead on a daily basis for auditing purposes


• Comply with all relevant mandatory training

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Competency in literacy and numeracy


• Good Communication skills


• Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.


• Proficiency in the use of a PC, including the use of software and systems.
