Job summary

Care South Residential is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper at St Ives House in Ashley Heath near Ringwood. The role offers a mix of full-time and part-time hours with weekend work in a supportive care home environment.

You will keep resident spaces clean, support with laundry tasks, and help maintain a safe, welcoming setting for residents, staff, and visitors. Prior care home experience is not required, but a caring attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a caring environment is not essential but a friendly, hands-on approach helps.
• You should enjoy keeping spaces clean and welcoming for residents, visitors and staff.
• Flexible in hours and able to cover alternating weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Keep the home clean, safe and comfortable for residents.
• Assist with cleaning communal areas and residents’ rooms.
• Assist with laundry duties for residents’ clothing (washing, drying, ironing).
• Follow policies and COSHH regulations for cleaning products and chemicals.
• Work as part of a team to maintain a welcoming atmosphere within the home.

About The Role

Join Our Caring Community at St Ives House!

Role: Housekeeper

Location: St Ives House, Ashley Heath, BH24 2EE

Pay: £12.85 per hour

Hours: Full-time and part-time hour available, to include alternate weekend working

Shift Patterns Available: We offer flexible shift patterns, with working hours typically between 7:30am and 5:30pm. Exact start and finish times will be discussed and agreed with the Home Manager to support the needs of the home while taking your availability into consideration.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Housekeeper to join the team at St Ives House, our stunning purpose built residential and dementia care home situated near Ringwood.

What you will be doing:

• Ensuring our home is kept clean, safe and comfortable throughout for our residents
• Supporting with the cleaning of communal areas and residents own rooms
• Provide some support to the laundry team to include washing, drying and ironing of residents clothing
• Comply with all policies and procedures, including COSHH regulations, withregard to cleaning products and use of chemicals.
• Work as a team player to create and maintain a co-operative, friendly andwelcoming atmosphere within the home.

Who are we looking for:

Previous experience within a care home setting is not essential – but we want you to come in and enjoy housekeeping!

A real desire to create a fresh and welcoming environment for residents, staff and visitors to enjoy.

Flexible in the hours that you work and happy to join in as part of a larger housekeeping team.
