Job summary

Care South’s Kenwith Castle in North Devon seeks a Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming home for residents. Hours are 32.5 per week with alternate weekend work, and shifts run 08:00–15:00 or 11:08–18:00, with timing discussed with the Home Manager.

No prior care home experience is essential; a genuine desire to create a fresh, welcoming environment for residents, staff and visitors is important. We offer flexible hours and a supportive housekeeping team.

• Previous experience within a care home setting is not essential – but we want you to come in and enjoy housekeeping!
• A real desire to create a fresh and welcoming environment for residents, staff and visitors to enjoy.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring our home is kept clean, safe and comfortable throughout for our residents
• Supporting with the cleaning of communal areas and residents own rooms
• Provide some support to the laundry team to include washing, drying and ironing of residents clothing
• Comply with all policies and procedures, including COSHH regulations, withregard to cleaning products and use of chemicals.
• Work as a team player to create and maintain a co-operative, friendly andwelcoming atmosphere within the home.

Role: Housekeeper

Location: Kenwith Castle Care Home, Abbotsham, Bideford, North Devon EX39 5BE

Pay: £12.85 per hour

Hours: 32.5 hours per week, to include alternate weekend working

Shift Patterns Available:

We offer flexible shift patterns, with working hours being either 08:00 to 15:00 or 11:08 to 18:00. Exact start and finish times will be discussed and agreed with the Home Manager to support the needs of the home while taking your availability into consideration
