Job summary

Colonial Group in Newquay (UK) is seeking a friendly and reliable Housekeeper to ensure our holiday accommodation is clean, comfortable and welcoming for every guest. You will prepare accommodation for guest arrivals and maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation, working closely with the housekeeping team to ensure smooth changeovers.

This part-time, fixed-term role is 16 hours per week, with bank holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare holiday accommodation to company standards.
• Change bed linen and make beds ready for guest arrivals.
• Clean kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and living areas.
• Vacuum, dust, mop and clean surfaces throughout accommodation.
• Report hazards or health and safety concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness in communal or guest areas where required.
• Work efficiently during busy changeover periods.
• Work collaboratively with the wider housekeeping and resort teams.

About the role

We’re looking for a friendly and reliable Housekeeper to help ensure our holiday accommodation is clean, comfortable and welcoming for every guest.

You’ll prepare accommodation for guest arrivals, maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation and work closely with the wider housekeeping team to ensure changeovers are completed efficiently.

This is a practical and active role suited to someone who takes pride in their work, has strong attention to detail and enjoys working as part of a team.

This is a part-time, fixed-term role working 16 hours per work, including bank holidays as required.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and prepare holiday accommodation to company standards
• Change bed linen and make beds ready for guest arrivals
• Clean kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and living areas
• Vacuum, dust, mop and clean surfaces throughout accommodationEnsure accommodation is well presented and ready for check-in
• Follow cleaning checklists, procedures and company standards
• Report maintenance issues, damage or missing items promptly
• Maintain cleanliness in communal or guest areas where required
• Use cleaning products and equipment safely and appropriately
• Report hazards or health and safety concerns
• Work efficiently during busy changeover periods
• Work collaboratively with the wider housekeeping and resort teams
