Job summary

Harpenden Springs is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to help maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for residents. You will play a vital role in creating a home-like atmosphere and supporting the care team in daily routines.

We offer a supportive team, a permanent contract, and a days shift pattern with 40 hours per week at £13.20 per hour. Prior care home housekeeping experience is a bonus but not essential.

• Previous housekeeping experience (care home experience is a bonus but not essential).
• A warm and respectful approach when working in residents’ personal spaces.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness across residents’ rooms and communal areas throughout the home.
• Carrying out daily cleaning routines and deep-clean schedules.
• Ensuring laundry is washed, dried, and returned promptly.
• Supporting infection control procedures.
• Working as part of a friendly team that puts residents’ wellbeing first.
