Job summary

Care South Maiden Castle House in Dorchester is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper for 36 hours per week, including alternate weekends. The role involves cleaning, laundry support, and maintaining a welcoming home for residents, with shifts from 08:30 to 16:00.

No prior care home experience is required; you should enjoy housekeeping, be flexible with hours, and work well as part of a larger team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within a care home setting is not essential – but we want you to enjoy housekeeping.
• A real desire to create a fresh and welcoming environment for residents, staff and visitors.
• Flexible in the hours that you work and happy to join in as part of a larger housekeeping team.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring our home is kept clean, safe and comfortable throughout for our residents.
• Supporting with the cleaning of communal areas and residents own rooms.
• Provide some support to the laundry team to include washing, drying and ironing of residents clothing.
• Comply with all policies and procedures, including COSHH regulations, with regard to cleaning products and use of chemicals.
• Work as a team player to create and maintain a co-operative, friendly and welcoming atmosphere within the home.

Role: Housekeeper

Location: Maiden Castle House Care Home,12-14 Gloucester Rd, Dorchester DT1 2NJ

Pay: £12.85 per hour

Hours: 36 hours per week, to include alternate weekend working

Shift Patterns Available:

• Candidates must be flexible to work shifts between 08:30 and 16:00, including alternate weekends

We have an exciting opportunity for a Housekeeper to join the team at Maiden Castle House, our stunning residential and dementia care home situated in Dorchester.

What you will be doing:
