Job summary

Kenwith Castle Care Home in Bideford, North Devon has a housekeeper vacancy. The role covers cleaning, safety and comfort for residents, with 32.5 hours weekly and shifts 08:00-15:00 or 11:00-18:00, including alternate weekends. Salary is £12.85 per hour.

You will support communal area cleaning, residents' rooms and some laundry, following COSHH and home policies. A friendly team player who enjoys a welcoming environment will fit in well.

Qualifications

• You must be 18 years or older.
• Previous care home experience is not required.
• Desire to create a fresh and welcoming environment for residents and staff.
• Flexible in hours and able to join a housekeeping team.

Responsibilities

• Keep the home clean, safe and comfortable for residents.
• Clean communal areas and residents' rooms.
• Assist laundry with washing, drying and ironing of residents' clothing.
• Follow COSHH regulations and home policies.
• Work as part of a friendly housekeeping team to maintain a welcoming atmosphere.

Role: Housekeeper

Location: Kenwith Castle Care Home, Abbotsham, Bideford, North Devon EX39 5BE

Pay: £12.85 per hour

Hours: 32.5 hours per week, to include alternate weekend working

Shift Patterns Available: We offer flexible shift patterns, with working hours being either 08:00 to 15:00 or 11:00 to 18:00. Exact start and finish times will be discussed and agreed with the Home Manager to support the needs of the home while taking your availability into consideration

We have an exciting opportunity for a Housekeeper to join the team at Kenwith Castle, our stunning residential and dementia care home situated in Bideford.

What you will be doing:

• Ensuring our home is kept clean, safe and comfortable throughout for our residents
• Supporting with the cleaning of communal areas and residents own rooms
• Provide some support to the laundry team to include washing, drying and ironing of residents clothing
• Comply with all policies and procedures, including COSHH regulations, withregard to cleaning products and use of chemicals.
• Work as a team player to create and maintain a co-operative, friendly andwelcoming atmosphere within the home.

Who are we looking for:

Previous experience within a care home setting is not essential – but we want you to come in and enjoy housekeeping!

A real desire to create a fresh and welcoming environment for residents, staff and visitors to enjoy.

Flexible in the hours that you work and happy to join in as part of a larger housekeeping team.
