Job summary

Care South is seeking a Housekeeper at Castle Dene in Bournemouth. The role involves cleaning the home, assisting with laundry, and maintaining a welcoming environment for residents and staff. Flexible hours between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm, 30 hours per week with alternate weekend work as discussed at interview.

You must be 18+ and there is no visa sponsorship offered. The Home Manager will agree shifts to suit business needs.

Qualifications

• Previous care home experience is not essential but housekeeping enjoyment is key.
• Desire to create a fresh and welcoming environment for residents, staff and visitors.
• Flexibility in hours and willingness to join a larger housekeeping team.

Responsibilities

• Keep the home clean, safe and comfortable for residents.
• Assist with cleaning communal areas and residents' rooms.
• Support laundry with washing, drying and ironing of residents' clothing.
• Follow policies and COSHH regulations for cleaning products and chemicals.
• Work as part of a friendly, cooperative housekeeping team.

Role: Housekeeper

Location: Castle Dene, Throop Road, Bournemouth, BH8 0DB

Pay: £12.85 per hour

Hours: 30 hours per week, to include alternate weekend working

Shift Pattern: Flexible working hours between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm, to be agreed with the Home Manager at interview in line with business needs.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Housekeeper to join the team at Caste Dene,our residential and dementia care home situated in Bournemouth.

What you will be doing:

• Ensuring our home is kept clean, safe and comfortable throughout for our residents
• Supporting with the cleaning of communal areas and residents own rooms
• Provide some support to the laundry team to include washing, drying and ironing of residents clothing
• Comply with all policies and procedures, including COSHH regulations, withregard to cleaning products and use of chemicals.
• Work as a team player to create and maintain a co-operative, friendly andwelcoming atmosphere within the home.

Who are we looking for:

Previous experience within a care home setting is not essential – but we want you to come in and enjoy housekeeping!

A real desire to create a fresh and welcoming environment for residents, staff and visitors to enjoy.

Flexible in the hours that you work and happy to join in as part of a larger housekeeping team.
