Job summary

Care South in Ferndown, United Kingdom, is seeking a Housekeeper to join our team at Fairlawn, a residential and dementia care home. The role involves keeping the home clean, safe and comfortable for residents, helping with communal areas and residents’ rooms, and assisting the laundry team with washing, drying and ironing.

Shift patterns are 15:00-20:00 or 16:00-21:00, 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We are a not-for-profit charity focused on those in our care and those who care for them,

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• No visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring our home is kept clean, safe and comfortable throughout for our residents.
• Supporting with the cleaning of communal areas and residents own rooms.
• Provide some support to the laundry team to include washing, drying and ironing of residents clothing.
• Comply with all policies and procedures, including COSHH regulations, with regard to cleaning products and use of chemicals.
• Work as a team player to create and maintain a co-operative, friendly and welcoming atmosphere within the home.

A real desire to create a fresh and welcoming environment for residents, staff and visitors to enjoy. Flexible in the hours that you work and happy to join in as part of a larger housekeeping team. Hours: 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday - no weekend working. Shift Pattern: 15:00 - 20:00 or 16:00 - 21:00, to be agreed with the Manager at interview. We have an exciting opportunity for a Housekeeper to join the team at Fairlawn, our residential and dementia care home situated in the heart of the Ferndown community.
