Job summary

Cedar Trust Care Homes Limited in Cheltenham is seeking a caring, enthusiastic housekeeper to help provide warm, compassionate care for residents and to maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the home.

We offer paid weekly hours up to £12.71 per hour, DBS check, pension contribution, 28 days’ holiday pro rata, training and uniforms, and a rolling shift pattern including alternate weekends. We are unable to support relocation or sponsorship for this post.

Responsibilities

To maintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness in the home.
To implement safe working procedures and COSHH guidelines.
To routinely clean rooms, furniture, fabrics and equipment as per schedule.
To clean sanitary equipment with hygiene in mind.
To dispose of refuse in the correct manner.
To ensure safe operation and maintenance of equipment.
To undertake deep cleans of residents' rooms and communal areas.
To support the kitchen with washing and cleaning in the evening.
To undertake other duties as needed.
To communicate professionally with residents, colleagues and visitors.
To work as part of a team within company policies and philosophy.

Responsibilities

To maintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness in the home;
To implement safe working procedures and practices in accordance with Health & Safety legislation and the COSHH policy and procedures;
To routinely clean rooms including furniture fittings, fabric, carpets and equipment as per the daily cleaning schedule;
To clean sanitary and other equipment, with attention to the guidelines for the control of germs and infestation;
To deal with refuse and dispose of it in the correct manner;
To ensure safe operation and maintenance, as needed, of all equipment;
To undertake deep cleans of all areas including residents’ rooms and communal areas;
To support the kitchen with washing and cleaning in the evening;
To undertake other duties, as may be necessary from time-to-time;
To communicate effectively and professionally with residents, colleagues and visitors;
To work as part of a team supporting others;
To work effectively within policies, procedures, aims, objectives and philosophy of the company.
