Job summary

South Gloucestershire Council is seeking an experienced HOTH Intervention Team Manager to provide senior practice leadership for a specialist team supporting 11-18 year-olds at risk from harm outside the home. You will lead HOTH workers, oversee time-limited interventions and work with partners to reduce risk using trauma-informed, child-centred approaches.

Qualifications

• Hold a relevant degree or professional qualification in social care, family support, youth work or a related field.
• Significant experience working with children, young people or families requiring additional support.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Senior HOTH Support Workers and HOTH Support Workers, providing line management and supervision.
• Oversee time-limited interventions, provide consultation and formulation support, and contribute to workforce upskilling.
• Coordinate specialist activity across the team (consultation, mapping, group work, preventative responses).
• Work with partners (schools, police, VRP, Risk Tactical Group) to strengthen local responses to risks outside the home.
• Monitor quality, performance, outcomes and resource use to ensure timely, safe interventions.
