Job summary

The Saxon Manor Care Home, operated by Avery Healthcare Group, is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant to maintain high cleanliness and laundry standards while following hotel-service procedures. You will work to protect residents’ dignity and personal space and comply with safety rules within a care home setting.

The role requires DBS disclosure and proof of eligibility to work in the UK, with opportunities to learn and develop throughout your career.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning and laundry in a care or public setting.
• Ability to follow housekeeping and laundry procedures.
• Knowledge of health and safety, including moving and handling, fire safety and COSHH.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and laundry standards across the home.
• Follow housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures to keep hotel service standards.
• Carry out all cleaning duties in line with worksheet instructions.
• Clean surfaces and coverings using materials suited to each one, so areas are well presented and in good condition.
• Make sure residents are treated with dignity and respect, including their personal space and belongings.
