Job summary

Esher Manor Care Home is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant to ensure cleaning and laundry standards across the home, following Avery Healthcare Group's housekeeping procedures and delivering hotel-style service while respecting residents' dignity. You'll work as part of a team, follow worksheets, and maintain cleanliness across the home.

A DBS disclosure check and proof of right to work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• Experience of cleaning laundry in a public setting.
• Knowledge of health and safety, including moving and handling, fire safety and COSHH assessments.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality housekeeping and laundry service to residents.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning duties in line with worksheet instructions
• Maintain cleanliness and laundry standards across the home
• Work to the standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry
• Maintain hotel-style service standards
• Understand the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials
• Keep areas well presented and in good condition
• Treat residents with dignity and respect, including their personal space and belongings
• Work as part of a team
