Job summary

M&B is seeking a Night Porter for overnight shifts (typically 11pm–7am, depending on site). This role suits flexible individuals who value guest care and a safe, welcoming environment. The application process is mobile-friendly with no CV required and takes about 2 minutes.

You will greet guests, check in late arrivals, assist with front-of-house tasks, and support safety always. DBS checks are required in recruitment.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for late arrivals and walk-ins.
• Ensure a warm, friendly welcome to all guests.
• Assist with front-of-house and breakfast area setup as required.
• Maintain guest and business safety and security at all times.
• Support fire safety procedures and safe evacuation if needed.
• Handle guest enquiries and phone calls to ensure a smooth stay.

This is an overnight position, with shifts typically ranging from 11pm to 7am (depending on the site).

Successful applicants will be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check as part of the recruitment process.

WHAT YOU'LL DO IN THIS ROLE:

• Be the first point of contact when checking in late arrivals and walk-ins.
• Ensure a warm, friendly and genuine welcome to all guests.
• The role is varied and, depending on your site, may include: cleaning tasks within the front of house, external and breakfast areas, setting up the meeting room(s) and breakfast for the next day
• You’ll ensure guest and business safety and security is top priority at all times.
• In the event of a fire, evacuating all guests and team from the business safely and quickly
• Answer telephone enquiries and deal with guest complaints to ensure everyone enjoys their stay.
