Job summary

Powys Teaching Health Board in Llandrindod Wells is looking for a Hotel Services Catering Assistant (Band 2) to join our team on a part-time basis. You will support the catering operation, preparing beverages, snacks, salads, sandwiches, buffets and hot meals for patients and staff, and work within the broader Hotel Services team.

The role requires flexibility to cover evenings, weekends and bank holidays, a willingness to learn, and the ability to follow procedures and health and safety

Qualifications

• Literacy and numeracy at Level 1 or equivalent.
• Level 2 NVQ in catering or equivalent, or willingness to pursue it.
• Level 2 numeracy and literacy or willingness to achieve it.
• CIEH Level 2 or equivalent food safety qualification.
• Experience in catering industry and understanding of safe kitchen practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare beverages, snacks, salads, sandwiches, buffets and hot meals for patients and staff.
• Carry out other duties to support Hotel Services, including cleaning or porter tasks.
• Work as part of a rota including evenings and weekends.
• Ensure compliance with legislation and local policies and procedures.
