Job summary

Powys Teaching Health Board is seeking a dedicated Catering Assistant for Bronllys Hospital in Brecon. The role involves preparing beverages, snacks and hot meals for patients and staff as part of a busy Support Services team.

Applicants should have catering experience, Level 2 food safety, and literacy/numeracy skills; Welsh language ability is welcomed and Welsh language training is provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering industry.
• Level 2 food safety qualification.
• Literacy and numeracy Level 1 or equivalent.
• Level 2 NVQ in catering or equivalent.
• Willingness to participate in further training.

Responsibilities

• Prepare beverages, snacks, salads, sandwiches, buffets and hot meals for patients and staff.
• Support the wider Support Services team with cleaning or porter tasks.
• Work on a rota including evenings and weekends.
