Job summary

Powys Teaching Health Board is seeking a Hotel Services Catering Assistant at Brecon Hospital on a 30-hour, fixed-term/secondment post for 10 months. You will prepare beverages, snacks, salads, sandwiches, buffets and hot meals for patients and staff, while supporting wider hotel services activities and ensuring compliance with policies.

Applicants with Welsh language skills are welcomed; training and development are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering industry and safe kitchen practices.
• Level 2 NVQ in catering or willingness to achieve it.
• Literacy and numeracy at Level 1 or equivalent.
• Willingness to undertake training and full induction.

Responsibilities

• Prepare beverages, snacks, salads, sandwiches, buffets and hot meals.
• Support hotel services catering and facilities to meet policy and procedures.
• Work as part of a rota including evenings and weekends.
