Job summary

The Best Western Plus Windmill Village Hotel, Golf Club & Spa in Coventry is seeking a Restaurant & Bar Manager to drive operational excellence across our outlets. You will recruit, train and develop the team, plan strategies to scale the business and be fully accountable for the department.

Ideal candidates will have hotel/restaurant experience, a focus on guest satisfaction, and a proven ability to manage costs, stock, and events while leading by example on the floor.

Qualifications

• Experience of working within a hotel or restaurant/bar operation.
• Ability to deliver excellent customer service and train others.
• Strong team leadership and floor management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple outlets ensuring service delivery and customer care for hotel and external guests.
• Ensure beverage and food items meet standards and regulatory requirements; promote upselling within social responsibilities.
• Manage ordering, stock, and wastage; monitor beverage gross profit margins and conduct monthly stocktakes.
• Maintain knowledge of menu, wine lists and hotel policies; control costs and energy usage while maintaining service.
• Create weekly rotas and staff schedules; manage staffing levels within budget.
• Organise and run events such as weddings and private dinners.
• Coach and develop staff through inductions, training and appraisals.
• Monitor standards of work and customer care; drive improvements and guest satisfaction.
