Job summary

John Lewis Partnership in the United Kingdom is seeking a Hotels Porter to join the hotel team. You will deliver cleanliness, hygiene and presentation across all guest-facing and back-of-house areas, delivering a first-rate customer experience and a safe environment for guests, members and staff during the night.

Responsibilities include housekeeping tasks, room cleaning, laundry runs, event setup with the events co-ordinators, and stepping into the Night Porter role when needed.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.
• Basic PC skills and use of standard software.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

• Laundry runs across the Estate - A driver's licence is essential for this role.
• Work with Events Coordinators to plan and deliver room set ups.
• Setting up of the Conference Centre for following days trade.
• Take on the Night Porter role, hours and duties in the absence of the Night Porter.
• Supporting the Maintenance team to maintain external and internal cleanliness throughout.

About The Role

As a Hotels Porter, you will work as part of the Hotel team to deliver and maintain the required standard of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation across all areas of the Hotel both guest-facing and back of house. Deliver a first-rate customer experience, leading customer service and provision of a secure and safe environment for guests, members and staff during the night. To add value to the efficient and profitable running of the Hotel in order to achieve our business and personal objectives, along with those of your team and the Hotel.

Due to the nature of this role, applicants must be 18 years or over to apply.
