Job summary

Premier Inn Chesterfield North is seeking a Kitchen Team Leader to run the kitchen day to day, manage rotas, place food orders, lead the team through busy services and maintain audit-ready standards.

You’ll work closely with the Hotel Manager to own food quality, hygiene and kitchen operations, with a clear path to more senior roles within Whitbread, the UK’s leading hospitality business.

• Strong focus on food quality and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Own food ordering, stock control and food costs for the hotel.
• Lead during service, organise the team and manage workflow.
• Prepare and serve menu items to spec, from breakfasts to pub classics.
• Ensure health, safety and hygiene standards are met with up-to-date records.
• Step up to run shifts and support new team members as needed.
• Develop kitchen management knowledge for future progression.

Kitchen Team Leader – Chesterfield North– Premier Inn

You’ll run the kitchen day to day – managing rotas, placing food orders, leading the team through busy services, and keeping everything audit-ready. Working closely with your Hotel Manager, you’ll take full ownership of the kitchen – from food quality to hygiene. It’s a hands‑on leadership role that’s perfect for anyone ready to build the skills to become a Head Chef.

Up to £14.31per hour

HOURS:

30 hours per week
