Job summary

Premier Inn Wirral (Heswall) is seeking a Kitchen Team Leader to run the kitchen day-to-day, manage rotas, orders, and lead the team through busy services. You will own the kitchen from food quality to hygiene, working closely with the Hotel Manager to drive a strong operation and guest experience.

You’ll develop leadership skills toward Head Chef aspirations, with hands-on involvement across menus, costing, and training to ensure audit-ready standards across the site.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a kitchen team in hospitality environments.
• Ability to manage rosters, orders and food costs.
• Strong focus on hygiene, safety and audit readiness.

Responsibilities

• Own food ordering, stock control and keep food costs on track for the hotel.
• Take the lead during service – organise the team and manage workflow.
• Prepare, cook, and serve menu items to spec – breakfasts to pub classics.
• Ensure kitchen meets health, safety and hygiene standards and keep records updated.
• Step up to run shifts and help new team members settle in.

Kitchen Team Leader – Wirral (Heswall)– Premier Inn

Join our team at Premier Inn Wirral (Heswall) as a Kitchen Team Leader and move your Chef career forward. You’ll run the kitchen day to day – managing rotas, placing food orders, leading the team through busy services, and keeping everything audit-ready. Working closely with your Hotel Manager, you’ll take full ownership of the kitchen – from food quality to hygiene. It’s a hands-on leadership role that’s perfect for anyone ready to build the skills to become a Head Chef.

PAY RATE:

Up to £14.31per hour

HOURS:

30 hours per week
