Job summary

Langdale Leisure Ltd. is seeking an experienced Hotel General Manager to run operations at Langdale Hotel & Spa in Ambleside. The role oversees 52 bedrooms plus Brimstone Hotel and related services, reporting to the executive team and driving guest experience, profitability and staff engagement.

You will lead the hotel management team, recruit and develop staff, and ensure adherence to Langdale’s core values while delivering exceptional service and financial performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, or Hotel Management is preferred.
• Several years of experience as a Hotel General Manager.
• Experience in leading hotel teams and managing operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead hotel operations to deliver guest experience and profitability.
• Drive commercial activity, marketing, and relationships with lodge owners and guests.
• Oversee forecasting, budgeting, and KPI development.
• Provide regular reporting and balance scorecard insights.
• Collaborate with departments to maintain high service standards and safety.
