Job summary

The Francis Hotel in Bath, part of the Sir Richard Sutton Limited (SRSL) group, is seeking a Senior Finance Assistant to strengthen the Hotels Finance team. You will own key day-to-day finance processes, ensuring accurate financial information to support hotel operations.

Working closely with Hotel Operations and the Hotels Finance team, you’ll investigate discrepancies, provide financial insight, and help leaders manage revenue, costs and performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in an accounting or hotel finance role.
• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly.
• Experience with Microsoft 365/Excel.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Experience with NetSuite or similar platform is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Own key daily finance controls, including income audit, reconciliations and discrepancies.
• Maintain EBITDA tracker and performance reporting for GMs and Department Heads.
• Monitor sales, payroll productivity and weekly forecasts to support performance management.
• Process approved invoices into NetSuite with accurate coding.
• Monitor and manage outstanding debt, support Credit Control to improve debtor days.
• Process weekly and monthly payment runs and prepare accrual analyses.
• Provide financial analysis and support to General Managers and Department Heads as required.
• Support and guide Finance Assistants within the Hotels Finance team.
