Job summary

Sir Richard Sutton Limited (SRSL) seeks a Finance Assistant for the Hotels Finance team at The Francis Hotel in Bath. This hands-on role supports daily reconciliations, payments, reporting, and financial analysis, contributing to accurate records and informed decision-making.

You’ll work with hotel leaders and the Finance team across reconciliations, debt management, and cost reporting, with opportunities to develop skills in ERP systems and close collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an accounting or finance role, ideally within hospitality.
• Strong numerical skills and close attention to detail.
• Competent use of Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel.
• An organised and self-motivated approach, with the ability to prioritise and work to deadlines.
• Confidence working independently while contributing positively to a wider team.
• Experience of Proc Wizard, another purchase-to-pay or purchase order system would be useful.
• Experience of NetSuite or a similar accounting system would also be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily revenue, payment, cash, and credit card reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Review Night Audit information and ensure financial records are accurate and complete.
• Maintain key performance information, including the EBITDA tracker, food and beverage reporting, and sales forecasts.
• Monitor outstanding debt, follow up with debtors, and support the Credit Control function in improving debtor days.
• Process approved invoices and payment runs, ensuring information is correctly coded and recorded in NetSuite.
• Support payroll productivity reporting by maintaining daily sales information in Sona.
• Provide accrual analysis and other financial information to support the Hotels Cost Accountant.
• Assist the General Manager and Heads of Department with financial analysis and queries as required.
