Job summary

Champneys Head Office is seeking a part-time Finance Assistant to provide essential support to the Group Financial Controller and the Hotel General Manager. The role covers all income and expenditure data, ensuring controls are in place and the end-to-end sales, purchase, and guest ledgers are managed effectively.

Responsibilities include daily audits, reconciliations, invoicing, and supplier payments, with a focus on accuracy and workflow improvements.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working within a finance function is essential, preferably from hospitality sector.
• AAT, HOSPA qualified or similar.
• Strong administration & IT skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to drive process improvements and enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Daily business audit and reporting.
• Daily cash and credit card reconciliations, bank reconciliation and completion of monthly balance sheet.
• Assisting with customer queries, dealing with chargebacks.
• Sales Ledger – raising invoices and chasing payments.
• Guest Ledger – management of house accounts and open folios.
• Purchase Ledger – weekly food invoices upload.
• Ensuring that all operational controls are implemented within the hotel.
