Job summary

Champneys Ashford is seeking an organised Finance Assistant to support the Group Financial Controller and Hotel General Manager with accurate reporting of income and expenditure across the hotel. You will handle daily sales and purchase ledgers, assist with management accounts, and ensure operational controls are followed, while providing timely responses to supplier and customer queries.

Experience in hospitality finance is valued.

Qualifications

• Experience working within a finance function is essential, preferably from hospitality sector.
• AAT or HOSPA qualification or similar preferred.
• Strong administration & IT skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Daily business audit and reporting.
• Daily cash and card reconciliations, bank reconciliations and monthly balance sheet completion.
• Assisting with customer queries and chargebacks.
• Sales Ledger – raising invoices and chasing payments.
• Guest Ledger – management of house accounts and open folios.
• Purchase Ledger – weekly food invoices upload.
• Ensuring operational controls are implemented within the hotel.
