• Previous experience working within a hotel restaurant (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Greeting all guests and escorting them to their tables
• To ensure food orders are taken correctly; processed accurately and appropriate payment is received
• To ensure all food & beverages are served efficiently, in accordance with the set standards and time scales
• Buffet services are kept in pristine condition and fully replenished
• Be able to recommend menu items, accompaniments, beverages & wines with knowledge
• Ensure that any allergens or dietary requirements have been highlighted or identified
• Set up conference and events areas, as per the Business Event Order sheet
• Complete check of area of work prior to opening for cleanliness, correct set up & mise-en-place in place
• Communicating with customers to ensure satisfaction and resolve any complaints
• Ensure work area is properly prepared for the next shift before leaving your shift
• To follow correct procedures when answering the telephone & welcoming guests into your area of work
• Process all payment methods in accordance with accounting procedures and policies
• Follow property control audit standards and cash handling procedures (e.g., blind drops)
