Job summary

Manchester Marriott Hotel Piccadilly in Manchester is seeking a Food & Beverage Assistant to join our Truly Talented team. You will work closely with the leadership team to support hotel success and guest satisfaction with a friendly, flexible approach.

The role offers varied hours and a pay rate of £12.71 per hour. Previous restaurant or bar experience is helpful but not essential, and a strong team-orientation with good hygiene knowledge will help you thrive in our busy outlets.

Qualifications

• Truly passionate about the Hospitality Industry;
• Previous restaurant or bar experience in a busy environment is preferred but not essential;
• Excellent personal presentation;
• Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety procedures;
• Ability to function independently with a minimum of supervision;
• Excellent communication skills, the ability to communicate verbally and in writing ;
• To be an enthusiastic team player with a flexible approach.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and serving any beverages requested by guests;
• Ensuring that all tables are set and ready for welcoming guests at all times;
• Ensuring that all guests’ orders are taken and executed in a timely manner;
• Ensuring that cleanliness is kept at the highest standards at all times in the Food & Beverage Outlets;
• Having good knowledge of the food and beverage menu;
• Responding to guests’ queries on the menu selection;
• Communicating any guests’ questions on the menu, the length of wait and product availability with the Food & Beverage and Kitchen teams, as well as any additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the teams accordingly.
