Job summary

Harri is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee hotel engineering and maintenance operations at London Heathrow Marriott Hotel. You will manage a team of engineers and technicians, coordinate preventive maintenance, and ensure health and safety compliance to maintain the property’s safety and appearance.

The role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge of MEP systems, and proficiency with Marriott platforms.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in hotel facilities or engineering management.
• Strong technical knowledge of MEP systems, building fabric, and life safety systems.
• Proficient in Marriott engineering platforms, especially Transcendent, and familiar with Engineering SOPs.
• LM5 or LM7 Legionella course is preferred.
• Membership in a relevant professional body is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the engineering team, aligning operations with the hotel's business goals.
• Oversee facilities management, asset protection, preventive maintenance, and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure full implementation and effective use of Marriott platforms (Transcendent, RPM, Energy Data Management).
• Conduct regular property inspections and weekly tours to uphold maintenance and safety standards.
• Manage centralized maintenance contracts and coordinate with external vendors for specialised work.
• Drive sustainability initiatives, including energy and water reduction through an Energy Action Plan.
• Collaborate with Finance and Engineering teams on Capex planning and emergency projects.
• Respond to operational and emergency situations, including large-scale incidents.
• Monitor KPIs and implement early warning systems to manage risks.
• Foster a proactive, high-performance culture and ensure guest satisfaction through timely service.
• Promote cross-departmental communication and share best practices across properties.
