Job summary

Royal Hotel in Cumnock is seeking a Duty Manager to oversee day-to-day hotel operations and support guest and colleague service across all departments. You will provide leadership on shift and ensure standards of cleanliness, presentation and service are consistently met.

The role requires supervisory experience in a hotel or F&B setting, with strong customer service, organisation and communication skills. Flexible weekend and holiday hours are expected.

• Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a hotel or F&B environment.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and resolve issues calmly under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations across all departments to maintain high standards.
• Act as primary guest contact, handling inquiries and resolving issues professionally.
• Lead and support the team on shift, promoting clear communication and high performance.
• Maintain hotel standards through regular checks on cleanliness, presentation and service.
• Manage financial duties including cash handling and basic reporting.
• Ensure compliance with licensing, health and safety, and hotel policies.
