Job Description

Scope Of Position

The Host will greet and welcome guests, serve them in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner, and ensure an excellent guest and member experience. They will have extensive knowledge of menu offerings and systems informatics, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and communicate with reservations teams to handle bookings and special requests.

The Host will also support team members when required and relay guest feedback and requests to management.

Responsibilities

Operations

  • Manage guest queries, bookings, and special requests efficiently and courteously.
  • Maintain knowledge of the menu, products, and any special events or promotions.
  • Follow reporting procedures for issues.
  • Adhere to grooming standards, including uniform, cleanliness, and personal hygiene.
  • Assist callers courteously, take messages accurately, and pass them promptly.
  • Be familiar with the restaurant's seating arrangements.
  • Escort guests to their tables and ensure their welfare.
  • Orient guests about the restaurant, menu, and concept, and respond to inquiries about the brand and artworks displayed.
  • Comply with security, fire, health, and safety regulations.
  • Practice sustainable waste management and purchasing daily.
  • Perform additional duties or support other departments as needed.

Health and Safety

  • Report and rectify hazards immediately.
  • Be familiar with emergency procedures.
  • Ensure safety of persons and property, adhering to laws and regulations.
  • Promote health and safety awareness within the department.
