Job summary

Brightstar Hospitality Management in the United Kingdom is seeking a Social Media Assistant to create, photograph and edit content for Instagram, Facebook and TikTok across our hotel, restaurant and events. You will help plan and maintain a weekly content calendar and capture engaging visuals.

You'll monitor engagement, respond to comments, support campaigns with cross‑team collaboration and help grow followers, drive bookings and raise awareness of our hospitality offerings.

Qualifications

• Experience using Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.
• Good photography and basic video-editing skills.
• Ability to create engaging Reels, Stories and short-form videos.
• Strong written communication and attention to detail.
• Creative, enthusiastic and confident when approaching staff and guests for content.

Responsibilities

• Create, photograph and edit engaging content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and other relevant platforms.
• Assist with planning and maintaining a weekly/monthly social media content calendar.
• Capture high-quality photos and videos of food, events, the hotel, staff and guest experiences.
• Create Instagram Stories, Reels, TikToks and other short-form video content.
• Write engaging captions that reflect the brand's tone of voice.
• Promote special offers, seasonal campaigns, events, weddings, afternoon tea, food and beverage promotions and hotel experiences.
• Monitor social media comments, messages, mentions and reviews, responding appropriately and professionally.
• Encourage guest-generated content and identify opportunities to increase engagement.
• Monitor social media trends, hashtags, sounds and relevant hospitality trends.
• Support the management team with social media campaigns and promotional activities.
• Work closely with the Food & Beverage, Events, Rooms and Marketing teams to gather content and promote upcoming activity.
• Track basic social media performance, including reach, engagement, views, followers and content performance.
• Keep up to date with competitor activity and identify ideas that could benefit the business.
• Ensure all content follows the company's brand guidelines and maintains a professional image.
