Job summary

Zizzi in Basingstoke is seeking a Hospitality Supervisor/Shift Leader to oversee service during busy periods, mentor the Front of House team, and ensure standards from the bar to the dining floor. This hands-on role drives guest satisfaction and smooth operations.

You’ll manage peak shifts, maintain safety and cleanliness, and keep guests engaged with a warm, Italian-inspired hospitality. The position offers flexible hours within a minimum-hour contract plus opportunities to progress.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment with leadership responsibilities.
• Confident, energetic communicator who leads by example.
• Organised and able to manage a floor section during busy periods.
• Reliable and willing to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Run the restaurant during quieter periods, ensuring smooth and safe operations.
• Lead from the front during peak rushes, owning Pass, Bar, or Floor to keep service seamless.
• Step in to resolve guest issues on the floor with a feel-good solution.
• Motivate and coach Front of House to grow skills and deliver standout hospitality.
• Care about dish presentation, standards, and details that make a standout occasion.
• Keep our restaurants safe, clean, and welcoming for team and guests.
