Job summary

Heartwood Collection is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead one of our premium venues in Lewes. You will drive guest experiences, coach teams, and own performance metrics across standards, culture, sales and profitability.

You will need a proven track record in premium pubs, restaurants or fresh-food hospitality, with a hands-on approach and strong commercial sense to manage P&L and KPI targets.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years' experience as a General Manager in premium pubs, restaurants or branded hospitality
• Proven track record of running high-volume fresh-food operations
• Strong commercial understanding, including P&L, labour, sales, KPIs and profitability
• Able to lead from the front and be highly visible with guests and team

Responsibilities

• Lead from the floor to drive guest experiences and team engagement
• Oversee standards, culture, and profitability across the site
• Manage labour, scheduling, and cost controls to meet targets
• Develop people and build strong management teams
