Job summary

The Belfry Hotel & Resort in Sutton Coldfield seeks a Data Analyst to strengthen the commercial team with strategic analytics and BI across the resort. You will design and improve reporting infrastructure and analytics capabilities, consolidating data from multiple systems to drive revenue growth and operational efficiency.

Expect to develop automated reports, dashboards, and insights, collaborating with stakeholders to identify opportunities and support strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• Advanced Excel skills including PivotTables, Power Query, complex formulas
• Strong experience using R and RStudio for data transformation, automation and reporting
• Experience developing automated reporting solutions, dashboards and data visualisation tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Experience working with multiple data sources and integrating information from different business systems
• Ability to communicate complex analysis clearly to stakeholders at all organisational levels
• Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to translate data into business recommendations
• Highly collaborative with ability to build relationships across departments

Responsibilities

• Consolidate, transform and validate data from multiple systems and departmental sources
• Develop, automate and maintain reports, dashboards and business intelligence tools
• Produce weekly, monthly and ad hoc analysis to support commercial and operational decision-making
• Monitor key business performance indicators, identifying trends, risks and opportunities
• Deliver forecasting, pace and performance analysis across key revenue streams
• Maintain data quality, reporting standards and supporting documentation
• Identify and implement opportunities for automation and process improvement
• Collaborate with departments across the Resort to develop reporting solutions and provide actionable insights
• Support system implementations, upgrades and data migration projects
• Deliver training and guidance to support the adoption of reporting and analytical tools
