Job summary

The Belfry Hotel & Resort in Sutton Coldfield is seeking a Data Analyst to join the commercial team reporting to the head of resort revenue. You will design, maintain and improve our reporting infrastructure and analytics capability to drive data‑driven decisions and commercial success.

You will consolidate data from multiple systems, develop automated reports and dashboards, and provide insights to support revenue growth and operational efficiency across the resort.

Qualifications

Salary

The base annual rate for this role is £33,000.00 per annum, plus service charge.

About the role

As a data analyst you will play an essential role within the commercial team reporting into the head of resort revenue, you will provide strategic analytical support and business intelligence across the Resort, enabling data-driven decision-making and commercial success. The role is responsible for designing, maintaining and continuously improving the Resort's reporting infrastructure, data architecture and analytics capability.

Working with data from multiple operational systems, the Data Analyst will consolidate, validate and transform information into meaningful insights that support revenue growth, operational efficiency and business performance. The role will lead the development of automated reporting solutions, dashboards and commercial analysis, while collaborating with stakeholders across all departments to identify opportunities, improve processes and drive strategic objectives.

You will also be responsible for:

• Consolidate, transform and validate data from multiple systems and departmental sources.
• Develop, automate and maintain reports, dashboards and business intelligence tools.
• Produce weekly, monthly and ad hoc analysis to support commercial and operational decision-making.
• Monitor key business performance indicators, identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
• Deliver forecasting, pace and performance analysis across key revenue streams.
• Maintain data quality, reporting standards and supporting documentation.
• Identify and implement opportunities for automation and process improvement.
• Collaborate with departments across the Resort to develop reporting solutions and provide actionable insights.
• Support system implementations, upgrades and data migration projects.
• Deliver training and guidance to support the adoption of reporting and analytical tools.

About you

Essential Skills & Experience

• Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, Power Query, complex formula development and dashboard design.
• Strong experience using R and RStudio for data transformation, automation and reporting.
• Experience developing automated reporting solutions, dashboards and data visualisation tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Experience working with multiple data sources and integrating information from different business systems.
• Ability to communicate complex analysis clearly to stakeholders at all organisational levels.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to translate data into business recommendations.

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Experience with hospitality, leisure, spa, golf or resort operations.
• Experience using Daylight PMS, Delphi, Azure Cloud Storage, Premier, Concept, Xplor (Resamania), IDeaS, Lighthouse, Mitel, Sage, Sona, Symphony and ResDiary.
• Experience with Power Automate or other automation platforms.
• Knowledge of SQL and database structures.
• Experience with forecasting models and revenue management analytics.
• Experience supporting large-scale data migration and system implementation projects.
• Experience delivering training in tools such as RStudio and Excel.
