Job summary

Oakland Care in Lambwood Heights is seeking a Hospitality Assistant to support mealtimes, maintain tidy dining spaces, and help residents with day-to-day non-care needs.

You will work closely with Head Chef, Reception, Housekeeping and Lifestyles teams to deliver a warm, luxurious hospitality experience in a care home environment. The role offers 40 hours per week, daytime shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of working in a similar role within a luxurious setting in the UK.
• 'Can do' attitude and willingness to work with us in ensuring we support our residents with the best quality service.
• Customer facing experience including building working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with meal service either in resident rooms or dining rooms.
• To ensure that water/drink jugs are regularly refilled in resident rooms.
• Help set up and clear down tables before and after lunch service.
• Recording and monitoring the temperatures of fridges and dining room service stations to meet compliance standards.
• Maintaining the Bistro to ensure it remains clean, organised and consistently well stocked.
• Attending to residents “non care” related needs including opening/closing curtains, changing TV channels etc.

Hours: 40 hours per week

Pay: £13.20 per hour

Contract: Full-time

Shift: Days (10-hour shifts,4 shifts per week)
