Job summary

Circle Health Group in Glasgow is hiring a Pharmacy Assistant to join the pharmacy team at Ross Hall Hospital. This full-time role is 37.5 hours per week with a flexible shift pattern and a salary of £24,947 per year.

Key duties include assisting in medicine preparation and labeling for inpatients, outpatients, and discharge prescriptions, ensuring safe and accurate supply, and maintaining stock controls and records. Applicants should have strong communication and team skills.

Qualifications

• Good general education including literacy and numeracy skills.
• Experience in a customer service, healthcare, or stock‑handling role.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and labeling of medicines for inpatients, outpatients, and discharge prescriptions under supervision.
• Support the safe supply of medicines, ensuring accurate picking, packing, and distribution to wards and departments.
• Monitor stock levels and expiry dates, maintaining accurate inventory across the pharmacy and clinical areas.
• Assist with the completion of records, prescription tracking, and data entry on pharmacy systems.
• Respond to basic enquiries from patients, nursing staff, or colleagues in a professional, helpful manner.
• Adhere to health and safety, infection prevention, and medicines management protocols.
