Serco is hiring a Maintenance Assistant at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. Based in Norfolk, you will perform reactive repairs, preventative maintenance, and safety-focused tasks to keep hospital facilities operating smoothly.

You’ll work 8am–4pm, Monday to Friday, in a full-time role with a comprehensive benefits package and strong emphasis on safety, teamwork and professional development.

Qualifications

• Holds a Level 2 NVQ or Level 2 National/Diploma Certificate in a relevant discipline.
• Experience in a maintenance or building services environment.
• Knowledge of maintenance or building services systems.
• Confident working at height with ladders/scaffolds.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Proactive approach to safety, teamwork and improvement.

Responsabilités

• Carry out reactive repairs, defect work, servicing and maintenance across hospital plant and building services.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance to keep facilities and equipment safe and operational.
• Follow policies, procedures, workplace regulations and best practice guidelines.
• Communicate faults and spare parts requirements to supervisors promptly.
