Job summary

Serco is recruiting a Maintenance Officer (Buildings and Grounds) for Forth Valley Royal Hospital. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team, coordinate planned and reactive maintenance, and ensure safety standards across facilities. A strong background in engineering and hospital maintenance is essential.

Role involves supervision, compliance with HTMs, and effective stakeholder communication to support a safe, well-maintained estate within the NHS framework.

Qualifications

• City and Guilds or NVQ in engineering discipline required.
• Completion of an appropriate apprenticeship.
• ILM Level 1 supervisory training.
• Experience in hospital maintenance or engineering.
• Experience supervising staff and recruitment.
• Strong health and safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-skilled maintenance team for planned and reactive tasks.
• Oversee preventative and reactive maintenance per contractual requirements.
• Respond to plant and equipment failures with timely fixes.
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Maintain safety through HTMs and permit-to-work systems.
• Manage CAFM work orders and asset data.
