Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust Hospital is seeking an Electrician Maintenance Craftsman to support the 24-hour rotating shifts. You will diagnose and repair faults in hospital electrical systems, maintain and install equipment, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

The role demands careful documentation and collaboration with contractors and hospital teams. The position requires a Level 3 NVQ in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and offers a structured shift

Competenze

• Must hold a Level 3 NVQ in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Extensive experience with electrical and mechanical maintenance in complex environments.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and risk assessment.

Mansioni

• Diagnose, test, and repair faults in hospital electrical installations and life-safety systems.
• Investigate causes of electrical failures and perform remedial actions to ensure continuous operation.
• Maintain, install, and commission electrical systems and minor works across hospital facilities.
• Conduct risk assessments for electrical maintenance and ensure safe working practices.
• Liaise with external contractors, suppliers and hospital departments to coordinate works.
• Keep detailed records of electrical plant, equipment and maintenance history.
